الجماهير الشعبية لكل البلدان تحب وطنها بعمق؛ ولكنه حب طبيعي وحقيقي؛ وطنية الشعب ليست فكرة، بل حقيقة؛ والوطنية السياسية، حب الدولة، ليست التعبير فقط عن هذه الحقيقة، ولكن تعبير مصطنع عن طريق تجريد زائف دائما ما يكون لفائدةالأقلية المستغِلة

The state is not the homeland. State is the abstraction, metaphysical, mystic, legal fable of homeland.

The popular masses of all countries love their homeland deeply.

It is a natural, genuine love. The patriotism of a nation is not just an ideal, it is a fact. Political patriotism on the other hand, the love of the state, is the degenerating, via this illusory abstraction, expression of this love, for the benefit of the manipulative minority
